This is where the theory meets real conditions

Engagements are the conditions in which the inquiry is tested, refined, and made visible. Over the last twenty years, these engagements across organisations, government, communities, and universities — in local and international forums — have moved theory beyond the classroom into practice.

Organisations

Connecting with global communities means working across cultural and institutional contexts where experiences, knowledge, and practice are brought into dialogue.

POCKET PROJECT

Through the Pocket Project, I co-design and co-facilitate a relational space dedicated to integrating the collective trauma of emigration.

By facilitation of integration labs, El Dolor de la Emigración Latinoamericana (The Pain of Latin American Emigration) unfolds over time as a collective processing for the exploration, digestion, and integration of migrant stories for Latin Americans living abroad; approached through the lens of being, belonging, and becoming.
In these spaces, We hold a shared field of inquiry where stories are witnessed, and where the visible and less visible layers of migration can be sensed and integrated, allowing inner movements to reveal deep insights and collectively emerge in our identity.
INNER DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Collaborating with the Inner Development Goals is a commitment to both inner and collective development.

Contributing to the broader field exploring the relationship between inner development, sustainability, education, governance, and systems change.

Over three years as co-lead of the IDG Higher Education Circle, the engagement centred on creating spaces for educators and practitioners to explore how inner development can be brought into pedagogy, relational practice, and institutional culture.

This has extended into collaborative research, the crafting of inner development tools and reports, the production of an edited book, and speaking and facilitating at the Inner Development Goals Summits.
PRESENCING INSTITUTE

Engaging directly with perceiving, relating, and
acting within complexity.

Working with the founding Latin America core team during the GAIA program at the immediate start of COVID-19, over the following three years, was a deeply impactful journey.

I collaborated in research and bringing Theory U tools and awareness-based systems change practices to Spanish-speaking groups, co-designing and co-facilitating large-scale online spaces.

Facilitating groups of over 1,000 participants required a social technology for guiding collective processes, holding dialogue across diverse contexts, and supporting inquiry in real time. Beyond Zoom production, co-designing spaces with a team with a common intention for bringing consciousness allowed a shared capacity for transforming systems to unfold.

Academia

Working in academia means engaging in spaces where teaching, research, and practice meet, shaping how knowledge is lived and shared.

THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY

Academia has been an important part of my journey.

At the University of Sydney, I taught and supervised across interdisciplinary programs, bringing together students from diverse fields to address complex societal challenges presented by industry, community, and government partners. I also served as a Wellbeing Champion representative for the School of Social and Political Sciences.

A central thread throughout my teaching has been bringing inner and outer peace into the curriculum, integrating embodied pedagogy with conflict resolution, systems thinking, and interdisciplinary inquiry. Rather than teaching disciplines in isolation, I sought to create learning environments where diverse ways of knowing could meet, and where reflection, collaboration, and practice became part of the learning process.

Teaching and supervision became opportunities to explore how knowledge, lived experience, and practice inform one another, and how learning can engage both intellectual inquiry and human experience. I supervised research on peace ecology, addressing fragmentation, capability deprivation and personal agency, our relationship with nature, and Indigenous knowledge, including projects exploring what the Kogui people can teach us about living in relationship with nature and responding to the climate crisis.

In Peru, Universidad del Pacífico opened a space to explore leadership and deep listening through practices that bring together intellectual depth and embodied inquiry.

With Universidad de la República in Uruguay, the engagement centred on teaching, mindfulness meditation, and exploring how leadership and the inner quality of listening shape participation within systems.

Raw and without perfection, some doings end up being recorded in words,
pictures, graphics, or voice as public resources, and yet most transcend in
between walls through encoded knowing and private norms.
